What Marlow is

Marlow helps a family coordinate appointments and rides for someone they care for. It is a scheduling tool. It does not provide transport, employ or vet drivers, and it is not a care agency.

Not medical advice, not a medical device

Marlow is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. Nothing in the app is a clinical judgment, and nothing in it should be relied on in an emergency. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Notifications can fail, and you must not rely on them alone

Marlow sends reminders and alerts through Apple's notification service and your network. Both can be delayed or fail for reasons outside our control — a phone that is off, no signal, notifications switched off at the system level. A ride that nobody claims is escalated as loudly as the app is able to, and that is still not a guarantee anybody saw it. Do not treat a silent phone as confirmation that everything is arranged.

Who you let into a circle is your decision

An organizer chooses who joins a circle, and everyone in it can see the schedule, the addresses and who is driving. Marlow does not check anybody's identity, licence, insurance or driving record. Deciding whether somebody should be driving the person you care for is yours to make, exactly as it would be without an app.

Your account

Accounts are for adults, 18 or over. Keep your email secure — anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You may delete your account at any time from Settings; what that does to a circle you organize is described there and in the privacy policy.

What you put in

You keep whatever you write. You are responsible for having the right to share the details you enter about another person, including the person you care for.

Marlow is early, and may change or stop

This is a small, early product run by one person. Features may change, and the service may be interrupted or discontinued. If it is ever shut down, you will be told in advance and given a way to take your data out.

Limits

Marlow is provided as it is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a missed appointment, a ride that did not happen, or any loss arising from using or not being able to use the app. Some places do not allow those limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as that law permits.

Governing law

To be confirmed. This will name a jurisdiction before Marlow is offered publicly.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects what you agreed to, the app will say so rather than quietly changing the date at the top.
